Hit The Wall, by Ike Holter, premiered as part of the 2012 Steppenwolf Garage Rep Series. It went on to extend numerous times in Chicago, and in 2014 was reproduced in association with The Barrow Street Theatre in New York City.
Hit The Wall exposed the untold story behind the pivotal 1969 Stonewall uprisingthat eventually led to the modern Gay Rights movement. A live rock band, headed by music director John Cicora, provided the soundtrack to this tale of a community pushed to the brink. Hit The Wall starred Mary Williamson and Walter Briggs, with set design by John Holt, movement by Erin Kilmurray, and fight choreography by Ryan Bourque.
