SAM DEUTSCH

Joined The Inconvenience in 2010. Sam is a puppeteer, designer, and actor. He has worked in multiple capacities, including performing, directing, producing, building or designing on nearly every production in his tenure thus far with The Inconvenience. His work has been seen across the United States and abroad. He is a member of Blair Thomas and Company, with whom he has worked extensively including performing in Moby Dick, A Kite’s Tail, and A Tell Tale Heart. He recently worked with Chicago Children’s Theatre on the world premiere of Mr. Chickee’s Funny Money, bringing the acclaimed character Zoopy to life. Other credits include: Mistakes Were Made (World Premiere: A Red Orchid Theatre, Chicago/ Off­B’way Premiere: Barrow Street Theatre, NYC), Ada/Ava (Manual Cinema, Tehran­Mobarak International Puppetry Festival), The Houdini Box (Chicago Children’s Theatre), The Astronaut’s Birthday (Redmoon/MCA, Chicago), The Cabinet (Redmoon ­ Brazilian Tour 2010), Erik Ehn’s Invisible Glass (REDCAT, Los Angeles), and The Saint Plays (Son of Semele, Los Angeles; Open Eye Figure Theatre, Minneapolis) Appeared in David Cromer’s Cherrywood (Mary­Arrchie Theatre Company, Chicago).
